Oh dear Miss Gardner needs to visit our hospital

A visit from Nurse Erin!

Last week we had a doctor-this week we have a nurse! Nurse Erin is Mrs Wixon's best friend. She works in the emergency department at Christchurch Hospital.
Nurse Erin brought a bag of goodies with her to teach us about things that she does! She let us listen to her heart, bandaged us, put plasters on us, and showed us so much!
Luckily she was there as John got a bleeding nose and she helped him. Phew!
At the end, she even gave us lollies!!

Our visit from Dr Scarlett

Mrs Wixon's friend, Dr Scarlett came to talk to us about what he does for a job. He is an anethetist which means he puts people to sleep when they have operations.

We got to play with a stethoscope.
We got to dress Mrs Wixon up! And she got something in her hand.
We had a thing and it smelled like bubblegum. It was a mask.
He has been studying for 13 years.
We got to wear masks.
We got to put the stethoscope on people's hearts.

Our numeracy learning

Since being back Mrs Wilson has been amazed at how strong our knowledge is. We are all showing our understanding in so many ways now!
