Bright colour Mufti day tomorrow

We are supporting children on the autism spectrum tomorrow by having a bright colour mufti day. Please bring your gold coin donation tomorrow and give it to Mrs Wilson before school begins. We are excited to wear mufti tomorrow. Here is some of our conversation ...
Tyler is going to wear a dinosaur top, Kiara is wearing a cool top and skirt. Atarau is wearing her butterfly flights which are dark purple and white. Cole wants to wear his warrior stuff. Joscelyn wants to wear a dress. Milla is wearing her spider man top. Wyatt thinks he will wear his hapu colours. Shiloh is hoping to wear her pink dress but if it is cold she can't.

Welcome to Room 1 Joscelyn

What Room 1 think good writers do...

We think good writers
- re read their writing to check it makes sense
- use word cards and some dictionaries
-they use finger spaces
-plan their writing by drawing a picture
-use a full stop
-break words into chunks
-do their best
- write lots of words
-write in order what we can hear

Something different for our classroom!

Room 1 have been working really hard on an art project to display in our room. First we painted iPad boxes to use as frames. Then we posed for beautiful photos. Once those aspects were finished, we traced over our faces with a sharpie. Look out for this display this week!

What we want to be when we grow up!

We drew some great pictures and had some great conversations about what we want to be when we grow up.
