A snippet of our great work this week!

Bunny rabbits!

On Thursday, Ryan's Mum Angela, brought in 4 cute baby rabbits for us to snuggle!
We loved them all and everyone got a hold!
Super cute thank you Angela and Ryan for sharing your pets with us :)

Our fun literacy stations today

Wyatt was our budding photographer today taking these photos and some of the children for them to make their wee puppets for a 'viewpoint' activity. Thanks Wy!

Curiousity!

On Monday and Thursday afternoons we are doing a Junior Syndicate interchange to learn about the 5 C's (caring, courageous, connected, creative and curious)
This week we stayed in Room 1. We talked about what it means to be curious. We wondered.. Who was curious to see what would happen with pepper and water? And then what if we added dishwashing liquid to the equation.
This is us and our amazing experiment. Ask us to try it at home!

We are authors!

Today we talked about who reads our writing. We read it, our friends read it, our teachers read it and sometimes our parents read it. We are authors. We want our parents to read more of our fantastic writing so watch this space. This week we are making books!

Fractions

We got ourselves into 4 groups and were given one piece of bread. We were asked to cut it in half. Lots of us didn't know what that was but... Actually we all managed to cut the bread into 2 pieces!
Then..... We were given another piece of bread. This time we were asked to cut it into quarters. No one knew what that meant! But every group cut their bread into 4 pieces! Ka pai Room 1!

Giving feedback to our peers

What an amazing writing session! We explored various materials to find our story then conferenced with Mrs Wilson. We then explored some more then asked our peers for feedback and to then highlighter mark our work instead of Mrs Wilson! Keep watching this space
